Will there be corporate websites in 3 years time?

Yes, there will be! But the corporate facebook profile might generate more leads by then. Corporate content on YouTube, Flickr, ... might generate more views than the corporate website. Your 1-to-1 contact might shift from corporate website contact to your Twitter-Account. To make this happen, all social media services need to provide special business features. Will businesses pay for this - of course they will, I will!!
But - keep in mind that all those special services should not empower businesses to act like in mass-media again. Social-Business-Features need to empower the re-connect of people and businesses - two way communication.
Twitter: I would love Twitter to give me all the servíces of CoTweet, bit.ly and so on directly. Why? Beause as business I need to be secured that these services are still around in a years time - originated by Twitter itself = I have trust = I pay for it (I'll love to).

YouTube: I would like to use YouTube as my only video-channel, but only without related videos at the end (as long as I do not control these) - because I do not want to see any promotion of competitor videos. Would I pay for that? Of course I would!

So forget about all the talks about the uncertain future of social media companies and there search for solid business models. They have it already. Prepare yourselfs and your companies to be part of them!

Back to corporate websites. Yes there will be still around. But they will be the framework for all company digital outposts + special services, something like an advanced content hub.

On top of that:
Key will be the extraordinary content production and the art of spreading it. Marketing and Communication Departments will turn into editorial offices. Creative Content will be a mix of agency and people creativity and production, while media-houses need to turn into network-publishing-houses.
